3 interesting salvaged oak cabinet panels.
Each piece is stenciled with "Property of the Post Office Department, MFD. By
Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., New Britain, Conn. 1940" The 2 longer pieces are
stamped "Inspected, Accepted, Dec. 9, 1940" end impressed on the back with the
cabinet maker's numbers "3 & 13". The shorter panel is numbered "1".
Measures: 2 pieces at 39"L x 3"W x 3/4"D, 1 piece at 30 3/4"L x 3"W x 3/4"D
Condition: solid. Some checks and a few rough spots along edges, expected
hardware holes.
Nice collectible Post Office salvage memorabilia, would be interesting
displayed as is, used to create interest in an upcycled furniture piece or with
hooks added for hanging coats, bags etc.
