Original paper label inside top drawer. The label states "This piece was hand made in the workshops of Charak Furniture Co., Boston Mass, numbered 3681
Made in the year 1935". The label is written in 18th century style script. The chest is made from perfectly matched solid mahogany, an exact hand made reproduction of a 18th century American Chippendale chest. The top drawer has a lovely insert for jewelry or accessories, that slides back and forth. The chest measures 27.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep at the top and 31 inches high. Very good original condition with some minor surface marks on top, to be expected of a piece that is 86 years old.
